Detail Itinerary


Day 1 : Leh

Arrival Leh in the morning and transfer to the hotel. Full day of rest for acclimatization to the high altitude of Leh (11,500 ft / 3500 mtrs). Overnight in hotel.

Day 2 :- Leh local sightseeing

After leisurely breakfast visit Sangam (confluence of Indus & Zanskar Rivers), Magnetic Point, Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, and evening visit Shanti Stupa and Leh Palace.
After sightseeing back to the Hotel Overnight at the hotel.

Day 3 : Leh to Nubra Valley - via Khardungla - Hunder (120 Km / 4 - 5 hrs)

After breakfast, drive to Nubra Valley, also known as Valley of flowers via Khardungla, the highest motorable road in the World, (18,380 ft). On your arrival in Nubra Valley check in the hotel / camp. Lunch will be provided by hotel/camp at Nubra. After enjoying lunch proceed to enjoy walk on the banks of Shayok river, you can also enjoy a ride on double humped camel on the Sand Dunes between Deskit & Hundur Village. Overnight stay in Hunder.

Day 4 : Hunder - Turtuk - Hunder (2 - 3 hrs)

After early Breakfast, move towards Highest Motorable Road of The World, KhardungLa Pass. Have a cup of Tea there, get yourself clicked with the Khardungla Signboard by BRO & proceed towards Turtuk- the Land of Baltis, which was under control of Pakistan before 1971 War between the two nations. You may like to visit 16 century Mosque and Minaret, Royal house of Yabgo dynasty, Ruin palace of Pun Khar, Historic polo ground. Overnight stay at Homestay /Camps.

Day 5 : Hunder - Nubra Valley - Pangong Lake

In the morning visit / explore Deskit, Hundar and the Sand Dunes where you can enjoy a short camel safari using the double-humped Bactrian camel found here (optional on direct payment). Later drive to Pangong Lake via Shyok Village crossing Durbuk and Tangste finally reaching The beautiful Pangong lake. After full day of sightseeing around the Lake check-in at fixed tented camp near the lake at Spangmik or drive back for 30 kms to Tangtse and check into Hotel / Guest House for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6 : Pangong to Tsomoriri Lake 240 Kms / 7-8 hrs

Morning after breakfast drive to Tsomoriri lake (14000 ft abov sea level) by passing Chumathang (Hot Spring) Along The Indus river. Tsomoriri Arr. 1600 Hrs. Afterwards take a walk around the Lake to enjoy the scenic beauty. O/N Korzok Village.

Day 7 : Tsomoriri Lake - Leh Back

After breakfast check out Camp and drive to Leh, On arrival Leh visit to Hemis Monastery & Stok Palace Museum , Shey Palace, Thiksey Monastery, 3idiot School. Evening drop to the Hotel and Overnight stay in Hotel.

Day 08 :Departure - Leh Airport

Early morning check out Hotel and transfer to the leh airport and fly back.
 



HIGHLIGHTS

 

Shanti Stupa : Around 5 km from Leh, Shanti Stupa is a white-domed Chorten, located on a hilltop in Chanspa, which was built between 1983 and 1991. Overlooking the Leh town, it is one of the best attractions in Leh. For celebrating the completion of 2500 years of Buddhism and to promote world peace, this stupas was commissioned by Japanese monks. The walls have gilt panels that depict the life of Lord Buddha.

Leh Palace :
Constructed way back in 1553 AD, located on the top of the deserted Tsemo Hill, Leh Palace is the former residence of the erstwhile royal family of Leh. The palace shares a resemblance to Potala Palace of Lhasa.

Magnetic Hill :
Located on the Leh-Kargil-Baltik national highway, around 30 km from Leh, Magnetic Hill is basically a gravity hill, which is renowned for possessing magnetic properties.

Sangam :
Sangam Valley is a 48 kilometre drive from Leh and is the confluence of the rivers Indus and Zanskar. Just the view of Sangam Valley from the road above it can make you swoon in ecstasy.

Gurudwara Pathhar Sahib :
While driving to Sham Valley from Leh, Gurudwara Pathhar Sahib will appear on the way in the middle of nowhere and is worth a short stop. If you’re in time, you might get to relish delicious food from the langar served by military personnel.

Hemis Monastery :
Hemis Gompa is the largest, the wealthiest and the most popular monastery of Ladakh. Hemis Gompa makes for a majestic ascent and renders amazing views of the surrounding valleys. The monastery has a museum and a shop selling curios at a price less than what you’ll find in the Leh Market.

 

Khardung La Pass : Known as the ‘Gateway to Nubra and Shryok Valleys’, Khardung La is one of the highest motorable roads in the world, at an elevation of 5359 m above the sea level. One of the 12 best places to visit in Leh Ladakh, it is around 40 km from Leh.

 

Nubra Valley : One of the most popular places to visit in Ladakh, the paradisiacal Nubra valley is a tri-armed valley, which lies 150 km north-eastwards of Leh. Perched an altitude of 3048 m above the sea level, this valley has confluence of Shyok and Siachen Rivers, white sand deserts, double-humped camels, rich lush villages, shining streams, and craggy mountain peaks. The valley has scenic beauty in abundance as it lies peacefully on the slopes of Karakoram mountain range

 

Pangong Lake : Pangong Lake is one of the most popular attractions in Ladakh. Also known as the Hollow Lake or Pangong Tso, this is one of Asia’s largest salt water lakes. It covers an area of approximately 100 km. While two-third of this lake is in Tibet (Chinese territory), one-third of it lies in eastern Ladakh
